Meet The Presenters

Maxwell Fraval
A career change brought me to Osteopathy and I have been on a continuing journey of discovery into the benefits of osteopathic treatment ever since. It was through treating my baby son who had projectile vomiting that I became aware of the effectiveness of
osteopathic care of babies and children. The osteopathic care of babies and children is for me an ongoing source of wonder at the strength of the response that can be achieved with these patients.
I trained at the British School of Osteopathy (now the University College of Osteopathy) and
subsequently joined its Board of Governors. I also served on the board of the General Council of Registered Osteopaths (now the General Osteopathic Council).
I began teaching undergraduates in the UK in 1979 and in 1985 I joined the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) as a part-time lecturer. RMIT was the first University in Australia to run an osteopathic degree course. In 1993, I pioneered the first
Osteopathic Paediatrics degree in Australia leading to a Master’s degree at RMIT. The Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation of Australia and New Zealand, of which I am a founding member, was established in 1990 as a vehicle for teaching post graduate courses.
Since 2001 I have taught "Rule of the Artery" courses in Australia, NZ, USA, UK and several European countries.

Liz Howard
Elizabeth Howard is passionate about women's health and has a long-term love of fascia, pain neuroscience and the pelvis. She has almost 30 years of experience as an Osteopath and has worked at the Women’s Health & Research Institute of Australia in Sydney for over 12 years. Her main focus is the holistic management of complex pelvic pain with the large medical interdisciplinary team working closely with Professor Thierr Vancaillie (Gynaecologist and Pain Medicine Specialist). Her roles at WHRIA include osteopathic care, clinical research, patient education and clinical programming in sacral neuromodulation. Liz travels to rural Moree with the WHRIA gynaecology team to provide osteopathic services at PIUS-X Aboriginal Corporation Medical Centre.
I have always had a passion for sharing knowledge. I feel strongly about the responsibility practitioners have to their patients, and each other, to be constantly learning and teaching.
My teaching experience includes Undergraduate and Master’s Osteopathic programs at the University of Western Sydney and Southern Cross University, clinical supervision in Sydney, Lismore and Mumbai, Osteopathy Australia National Conferences, Pelvic Floor Seminars, GP education evenings and Allied Health events via Bower Bird CPD.
In 2020 I was awarded the title of Advanced Pain Management Osteopath by Osteopathy Australia after completing a Master of Science in Medicine (Pain Management) in 2016. Liz has published in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and presented at numerous national and international medical conferences.
I am thrilled to consolidate years of pelvic pain experience to speak about the fascia of the pelvis at the Osteopathy Summit in 2026. You will learn when and how to confidently assess and treat the fascia of the pelvis via the long-chain connections and the neural supply. I look forward to seeing you there.

Alistair Moresi
I have been practicing traditional hands on Osteopathy since graduating from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Australia in 1992. I have immersed myself in the continuing study and teaching of Osteopathy, maintaining a full-time hands on Osteopathic practice for over 30 years and lecturing at local, national and international conferences.
I have taught for such groups as Dr. V. Frymann’s Expanded Osteopathic Concepts, Dr. Eliott Blackman’s Embryonic Midline/Mesoderm, Dr. J. Jealous’s BioBasic studies and TBI courses with OPC and Dr M. Nerman.
I have been adjunct faculty at TUCOM in California and involved with directing a continuing Fresh Anatomy Dissection series with Stanford University and the Post Graduate Institute of Osteopathy. I currently direct and lecture at the Rule of the Artery courses in the US with my mentors and colleagues
from Australia.

Julie Fendall
I have been working in osteopathic paediatrics for over 40 years and was so fortunate to have been taught by many wonderful osteopaths including Dr Anne Wales, Dr Rollin Becker and Dr Viola Frymann, among many others involved with osteopathy in the cranial field and in particular paediatrics. I am passionate about passing on knowledge about caring for children of all ages.
In my daily practice I see children with such a wide range of conditions; in many we need to address their respiration, their immune system and their digestion.
I am excited to be working again with so many wonderful colleagues in this first Osteopathic Summit, where we will be focusing on the Lymphatic System, which in children is essential to explore in all these domains. I will be speaking about the upper respiratory and digestive tracts to address many of the common presentations we see in practice, exploring mucosal and lymphatic drainage to affect children’s immunity, which in turn affects their growth, development, behaviour, sleep and learning. I will suggest some treatment approaches that you will be able to bring to your practice immediately to help in your treatment of children.
I look forward to seeing you at the Summit in 2026 bringing our profession together.

Michael Solano

He's been in Osteopathic practice since 1992 and has been inspired for over 20 years by the works of Dr Brian Freeman, anatomist and embryologist. Michael is fascinated by Embryology and Osteopathy and is delighted to be presenting on his learnings in this area.

Pili Munoz
My name is Pili Munoz, and I have been privileged to practice osteopathy for 33 years. My
journey with Osteopathy in the Cranial Field (OCF) began during my undergraduate years, where I was fortunate to learn under the guidance of Maxwell Fraval and Julie Fendall. Their expertise and passion lit a spark in me, inspiring what has become a lifelong commitment to learning, exploring, and sharing the profound depth of this work.
Soon after graduating, I completed a Graduate Diploma in Paediatrics. This paediatric program was steeped with diagnosis and management and at the same time embraced the many facets of care osteopathy can provide from infancy through to adolescents.
Eager to deepen my understanding, I dedicated myself to years of continued study, attending courses with the SCTF of ANZ and the SCTF in the USA. Over time, I transitioned from student to faculty member with the SCTF of ANZ, contributing to teaching and collaborating with the faculty to develop outstanding programs that showcased the broad potential of OCF.
The faculty of that time profoundly shaped my thinking and approach, influencing how I connect with and care for my patients each day. It was also an honour to contribute to the development and teaching of the Rule of the Artery Program 1 and 2. Working alongside an exceptional team, we continually pushed the boundaries of our skills and palpation, all united by a shared commitment to enhancing patient outcomes.
Later, I continued my journey with Jim Jealous, attending his biodynamic phases in Australia and New Zealand, further enriching my understanding of osteopathy.
The practitioner I am today—curious, inquisitive, and deeply passionate—is the result of these experiences and the profound wisdom of my teachers and mentors. I am endlessly grateful to all of them. My excitement for osteopathy only grows with time; every course I attend, every patient I see, offers new opportunities to learn and grow.
It’s with that same excitement that I join you on this course, hoping to inspire even one of you to embrace the depth of change and support you can provide your patients through these treatment approaches. Together, I hope we can foster a culture of collaboration, mentorship, and lifelong learning, supporting your development as an osteopath.

Diego Ortuso
Osteopathy has played a prominent part in my life. My ongoing study of all its branches has led to my development as a better practitioner and person and recently, I completed another Master of Health focussing on the effects intervention has on the Relaxation Response.
I was introduced to Biodynamic or Traditional Osteopathy in 2003 and it has been an enriching journey of study ever since. I have been involved in tutoring, lecturing and teaching in Australia, UK and the USA in the Biodynamics programs. I have participated in workshops and courses attracting undergraduate and post graduate students and in the last decade have been heavily involved in the Biobasics program both overseas and in Australia.

I am honored to be able to share the learnings I have gained over the past three decades of working in such an incredible profession and look forward to working with you at the Osteopathic Summit in 2026.
